Emdebian and ARM Sprint 2011

February 23rd, 2011

The Emdebian Project meet during a week at ARM Holdings offices in Cambridge for a sprint on embedded and Debian ARM.

A sprint on Debian Embedded and ARM was held at ARM Holdings offices in Cambridge. Several people from Genesi, Toby Churchill, Linaro, Canonical, and ARM interested in improve Debian Embedded and ARM support had the opportunity to meet at the sprint and align goals targetting next Debian release.

Interesting topics on Debian and Ubuntu support on multiple architectures (multiarch), breaking Debian cyclic dependencies for bootstrapping Debian from scratch, better support for tools which allow cross compilation, freedom box development, etc. were discussed during the sprint.
