We had a robot produced by the Cambridge University Multi-disciplinary Design Project powered by the Open Hardware Balloon3 development board along with the MDP General Purpose Expansion Board to control the motors and sensors. Here is a video (2MB mp4) of the (farily stupid!) line-following robot in action.
An IPAQ a Balloon3 and Psion Netbook running GPE/Openembedded were also on show. Daniel and Gareth were demonstrating a tiny ARM9 machine running standard Debian-arm, with convenional keyboard, mouse, and LCD display, making an extremely low-power compact computer.
The opportunity was also taken to discuss emdebian mechanisms with Debian and emdebian Developers, and some useful progress was made, which is documented on the wiki
